Anniversary Weekend |

Friday Evening 20 June, 2008.
The Skeheenarinky 150th Anniversary Weekend celebration
begins on Friday night, 20 June, 2008. Time to be
announced here at a later date. That night sees the Book
Launch and the opening of the Weekend Museum,
cheese and wine reception, traditional music, and the
evening continues at Jacksons' pub with the traditional
musicians.

Saturday, 21 June
The museum will be open during Saturday afternoon. The evening begins with
an 8.30 Mass at the school, celebrated by our School
Manager and Parish Priest Fr. Joe Flynn, Fr. Michael Walsh
P.P. Ballylooby and Duhill, and Bishop William
Lee of the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore. After
Mass, a great get-together and reunion is being planned.

Sunday, 22 June
Sunday is the Grand Gala Day. It starts at 1.30
p.m. with children's sports and football. The
afternoon includes a wonderful barbecue. The museum
will be open throughout the afternoon. A pageant performed
by the local children will be one of the highlights of the
day. Then follows a tree planting ceremony to close
festivities.
