Skeheenarinky Vintage Club Fundraiser 2014

Skeheenarinky Vintage Club had a great turn out yesterday in lovely sunshine for their Annual Charity run which was in aid of Clogheen Hospital.

There was plenty of lovely treats and sandwiches with piping hot tea and coffee for the drivers and helpers served by Alice, Tina, Mary and Mags. There was no shortage of help with neighbours marshalling the traffic and making sure everyone enjoyed the day. There was some members of the Club doing the registration and some neighbours that weren’t driving on the day contributed to the fundraiser.

The Vintage cars were in pristine condition and the sunshine only added to their beauty as they lined up in the School yard.

The tractors parked in the field and  the drivers’ families waited patiently to see them off. It was quite a spectacle to see the tractors as they drove down the road, neighbouring Counties,  Limerick were flying their flag. Tipperary flags were flying in anticipation of next Sunday’s game. There was a Cork flag flying on a  Massey Ferguson  driven by Paul Dwane, Son of Donie who passed away recently and I’m sure Donie was smiling down on Paul as he drove in his memory.

A good day was had by all.
